Popular Keynotes:

  • We all can pinpoint specific moments in our lives where we reach a stark pivot point in our journey. Like where we think about life before and life after that specific moment.

Like before you met your lifelong best friend, and life after.

Like before Beyoncè released Lemonade, the visual album, and life after.

Like before March 2020, and life after March 2020.

For Q, he had a few of those moments in college. The unexpected loss of his father and grandmother within 8 months of each other sent him into a spiral filled with depression, anxiety, and difficulty. In those worst times, it wasn’t “the grind,” his coursework, or his responsibilities as a student leader that helped him find peace again.

    It was his village.

The village of people around him who helped him pick up the pieces and become whole again.

But this program isn’t about Q’s village only…

    It’s about yours!

  • When we face major challenges in our lives, we begin to search high and low for support and care, to lean on our village.

Yet too often, I hear people share that they just don't have community they can depend on.

This gamechanging program builds upon decades of community development work to take it one level deeper, tactically equipping students to prepare for challenges as they maneuver college and beyond, with emphasis on building relationships

     ... even when it's inconvenient.

  • "No one wants to attend another mandatory training!"

"No one wants to come to exec meetings!"

Most people only see isolated symptoms, ignoring intersecting root issues devastating their organizational culture.

Q believes leaders who connect the dots between strategy, members, and execution drive the success of an organization. Ignoring these connections costs organizations, at the end of the day, the members.

Utilizing the AEAA Framework, attendees will begin to untangle the webs, then be equipped with the tools to lead effectively, build strong chapters, and drive sustainable change.

  • Remember that day everyone’s Instagram feed turned black?

June 2, 2020 was called #BlackOutTuesday and it has been described as one of the most-widespread demonstrations of protest in the history of social media. It made a lot of people feel good and like they were engaging in true advocacy, yet they were met with accusations that they were being performative.

Q reflects on this day, connects it to present experiences we're facing, and uses it as a vehicle to ask; what makes these actions performative, and how are we as leaders of our organizations beginning to embark on true change journeys?

These questions get to the heart of a core issue of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; the appearance of advocacy without action and consistency is hollow, and creates difficult spaces for students, faculty, and staff.

    We must do more.

This dynamic program is intended to challenge and inspire those who want to do good to truly do better.

  • We all want “Greek unity”! Right!  …right?

Honestly though, what does true unity look like for fraternities and sororities? Does it exist? Is it even possible to attain?

Michele & Q has heard these questions countless times as he visits campus after campus, and decided to dive deeper into this concept. In most instances, he’s seen a few hurdles to unity: we can't define it, we ignore history, and we don't make a plan.

With this session, we strategically address each.

Change moves at the speed of trust, so let’s start there.
